Commitment Process

Please note the following changes in our registration process which began in November 2017

  • First priority for registration is given to current students (and any siblings) as well as staff children.
  • Families who have completed our Commitment Form and paid Commitment Fee (if not alumni/HUMC member) are given next priority in the order in which completed commitments are received.
  • All alumni must complete a Commitment Form to be added to our Wait List.  No commitment fee is necessary for alumni families.
  • Some families are adding children to our wait list up to 3 years in advance.  It is advantageous to fill out a form as early as possible.

  • Commitment Fee is $25 which is payable by check or PayPal using our email address, (This fee is non-refundable unless your child is not offered enrollment within 3 years.)
  • This form may be submitted through the website here or mailed/emailed to our director, This does not guarantee your enrollment at HPUMP. You will be notified immediately when a position opens and will be asked to pay the $120 registration fee and complete registration paperwork. This occurs mainly in February for the following year and as needed throughout the year if a student withdraws from our program.
  • If you have not already attended a formal classroom tour, you must complete a tour prior to your child attending HPUMP.  tour dates are listed on below.
  • You will be contacted every six months by email and asked to confirm your interest within two weeks to maintain your position on the waitlist.  It is your responsibility to contact HPUMP if your email or any other contact information changes.

The preschool requires a Classroom Tour prior to registration. If you have not already completed this prerequisite, upcoming tours are scheduled as follows:

  • Thursday, February 14, at 6:30PM
  • Thursday, March 14, at 6:30PM
  • Thursday, April 18, at 6:30PM
  • Thursday, May 9, at 6:30PM

RSVPs are not required to attend a tour. It is an adults-only event.

All enrollment is provisionalEnrollment may be denied or revoked at any time for any reason. Final decisions on enrollment rest with the Preschool Board.

We require all children enrolled in our program to be fully immunized according to the State of Tennessee's schedule of immunizations. No exemptions will be accepted except medical exemptions. Medical exemptions must be verified in writing by a medical doctor.
